Norma Hodgson Zinn, Adoptive Mother of George Zinn

The Ogden Standard-Examiner , May 27, 1928 Norma Hodgson married Overton Zinn in July of 1928, 27 years before they would adopt their son George from a Greek Orphanage. She was the daughter of prominent Salt Lake City architect Leslie Simmons Hodgson , who built many important buildings including Ogden High School (1936), the LDS Branch for the Deaf (1916), the U.S. Forest Service Building (1932) and the Ogden Municipal Building (1939) among others. Overton Zinn was a High Priest in the LDS Church for the 47th Ward. While it sounds like an elevated position, he was basically an elder at his local branch.
